Corrections and Revisions
The Gold Barometer follows a no-silent-revision policy. Any material change to a published score, a pillar sub-score, or the methodology appears on this page, dated, with the reason and the resulting values. As of the current build: no corrections to date.
Policy
- Every published number stays public. If a score, sub-score, or archived value changes after release, the original and the revised value are both shown on this page, with a dated entry.
- Methodology changes bump the version. The methodology page changelog records the version number, the date, and the specific change. Weight or orientation changes trigger a 90-day parallel run: both versions are published side by side before the new one becomes canonical.
- Data revisions are logged, not hidden. Producer revisions to source data (BLS CPI, IMF IRFCL, and so on) that materially move a past sub-score are noted here with the date the revision was received and the effect on the score.
- Never overwrite the daily archive. The public GitHub archive at github.com/thegoldbarometer/data preserves every daily record as originally released. Corrections are additive commits, not force-pushes.
Log
No corrections to date.
This section will be populated as the site accumulates history. The absence of entries is itself a fact, not an omission.
